I have had doubts about this trip for a long time. Actually I found it politically incorrect to go to Tibet. But after I have heard the Dalai Lama say that the worst thing you can do is to stay away from Tibet, I have revised my opinion. If western guests stay away from Tibet the Tibetans feel forgotten and will only see the Chinese tourists (= the occupier). I went there together with my friend Paul who I met on the trip to Ladakh, also known as Little Tibet. From the capital Lhasa through the largest cities in Tibet (towns to us) with their impressive monasteries, beautiful people and the vast plateau to the far west of Tibet. Then through the south of Tibet, Mount Kailash, the Himalayas and Mount Everest to Nepal. An unforgettable trip!
