In 2003 I was in the northern half of India for the first time during a combo trip "India and Nepal" in three weeks. During this first encounter with this impressive country with its 1.2 billion inhabitants I was so impressed that nine years later I decided to take better look at Northern India than I had in the 10 days I had last time. This time in over 4 weeks, I travelled through the northern half of India again. The big cities, the holy Ganges, the Taj Mahal, the many forts, the Thar Desert, the annual camel market in Pushkar, the Golden Temple in Amritsar and everything in between. And then of course there were the wonderful people and the delicious fragrant vegetarian food. The only two things I will not miss are the constant street noise and the pushy salespeople.
